Precision Engineering

Committed to providing quality, precision and innovation.

Precision Engineering, also called Computerised Numerical Controlled (CNC) Machining, is an automated process used to machine precise components/parts to certain shapes and sizes with little human interference. It is a part of the manufacturing procedure for many materials such as metals or plastics, but can also be used for wood, ceramics and composite materials.

How can we help?

At Arex, our precision engineers are qualified to provide high quality precision machining services such as turning, milling, tapping, complex machining and more. We utilise CNC machining to manufacture precise customised components. We make it a high priority to produce components or parts with tight tolerances and fine finishes. Looking for a modification or need to have an existing part machined? Arex can help. Our ability to deliver an end-to-end solution in-house enables us to reduce complications, reduce costs and deliver optimal results for you.

Your satisfaction is paramount. We work with you to ensure that you get the best solution to your needs, whether it’s a small part or a large machining project. At Arex, we strive to ensure your precision components will fit accurately into your machine / system and that they’ll work for a long time. We value quality workmanship, accuracy and consistency. Our years of knowledge and experience have enabled us to support you by identifying and helping to rectify any engineering problems that come up or are foreseen during the manufacturing process.

Our precision machining capabilities encompass:

  • Production of pre-mechanical components for fabrication
  • Preparation of components for the fabrication process eg. steps and flanges
  • Post-fabrication machining / finishing operations including:
    • tolerance bores
    • flat faces and datums
    • milled threads
    • spot faces
  • Turning
  • Milling
  • Tapping
  • Drilling
  • Circular interpolation
  • Thread milling
  • Deep pocket milling
  • Deck / face milling
  • Helical interpolation
  • Profile milling
  • Slotted holes
  • Accurate hole boring
